David - Owner

Born in England. David grew up in an Air Force family living in Kansas, Wyoming, Texas and California before settling in the Boston area. He is a self-taught artist (working mostly with oil on canvas or board) and hair stylist. David worked at Saks 5th Avenue for 8 years before opening Eclipse Salon Gallery in 1988; starting the first hair salon/art gallery on Newbury Street, allowing him to combine both of his talents. For several years David free lanced with several different theatre companies as a stylist. In 2008 he moved the salon to Milton Massachusetts.

Bob - Owner

Rick

Rick has been a hair stylist for over 35 years. He trained at Vidal Sassoon in New York and owned a Hair Salon on Newbury Street and Edgar Town on Martha’s Vineyard where many celebrities like Mia Farrow, Jacky Kennedy Onassis, and Patricia Neal frequented his Salon. Rick is a color specialist, and he works with both Goldwell and Redken 5th Avenue hair color. Rick currently splits his time between Eclipse Salon and Rick Harrington Salon in Palm Beach, Florida.

Rachelle

Kris

Kris was born in Germany and relocated to Boston when he was 5 years old. Kris has been a colorist for over 40 years, and he has worked in well-known salons like Avanti, Frank Xavier, and Salon Diego. He currently splits his time between Eclipse Salon and Hair Bella in Newbury Street formerly known as Richard & Joseph. He specializes in corrective color.

Hunter

Cynthia

Cindy is a Stylist of 40 years and 28 of those with Eclipse Salon. She was an Instructor at Blanes and Empire Beauty School in Boston for 5 years. She specializes in color, highlights, and color correction. She is also a master in hair weaving, relaxers and designer’s hair cutting. Cindy works with all hair types, including natural and curly hair. And let’s not forget to mention that her fun and welcoming personality will make you feel at ease and make you satisfied with your beauty needs!

Trish

Since starting her career in 2009, she has worked in some of Boston’s top salons like Umi, Mizu, Marc Harris, and has become an educator for Bumble and bumble. She loves to create ready-to-wear haircuts that help clients express themselves the way they want. “Color is even more fun because it always is evolving with time and the seasons.” She finds inspiration from the film, art, nature and the music industry. Whether it’s beachy blonde waves, tailored men’s cuts, pixies, bobs or just routine root touch ups. Trish has gained the knowledge to achieve all styles, colors, and textures. FUN FACT: Trish was born in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and moved to the US when she was Four!

Jerald

Jerald has been the Salon Coordinator for 12 years, two years ago he became the Salon Manager. Currently, Jerald manages the clientele of all seven stylists in our salon. Jerald always conducts his administrative duties with charm, charisma, and etiquette, continuously keeping our customers feeling welcome and appreciated. Jerald is a take-charge person with the ability to keep both our clients and staff coordinated and informed with day-to-day business activities. Jerald has been a Quincy resident since moving from the Philippines with his family in 2001.
